Tasting Note:
For $12.95, this is a great bottle of wine. You’ll get a nose full juicy cran-strawberry, vanilla and sweet spice. The wine has an initial palate of leather, followed by full flavours of cran-vanilla, red cherry and clove. Tannins are light, acidity is fresh and the finish has long notes of cherry and milk chocolate.

Part way down my freshly poured glass, I thought this wine might be too sweet with vanilla-oak flavours. It was almost cloying. However, after a half hour of breathing time, the flavour rounded out into a lush glass of wine with well integrated, deep flavours.

If you get a chance, also try the $20 Cabernet Sauvignon 2010 from Pillitteri. It’s a full bodied pleasing glass of cabernet that’s good value for price.
